Small Scale Technology Certificates

Small Scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are derived from small scale technology installations such as water heaters and photovoltaic panels as well as small scale wind and hydro systems.

This market commenced operation on 1st January 2011 as a result of separating the Renewable Energy Target into two parts being the Large scale Renewable Energy Target (LRET) and the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).
